Henna Inspired (along with Integral Arts Everett) is proud to announce we will be teaming up to bring a return of the Everett Community Labyrinth! We will be rebuilding the labyrinth permanently this time, instead of as a temporary installation, and we can’t wait!
This new version will be easier to care for, installed in a more accessible location (tbd), and will be labeled with signage to help people learn about the new space. We’ll be getting to work (pandemic and weather permitting) to build it starting this summer!
In the meantime, please enjoy some photos of our temporary labyrinth that was along the Northern Strand Community Trail for the summer of 2019.
What is a labyrinth?
A labyrinth is not a maze; it is an ancient symbol that combines the imagery of the circle and the spiral into a purposeful path. With only one winding route that leads to the center and out again, the labyrinth represents a journey to our own center and back again out into the world. Labyrinths have long been used as meditation tools. The act of walking the path helps free the mind for meditation, mindfulness, and listening to your inner guide.
